WHY “RECRUITMENT” INSTEAD OF “RUSH” ?

While Theta Chi still observes formal “rush”, changing the strategy from “rush” to “recruitment” is just one of the many steps in redefining our fraternity. Men who are pursuing an environment of excellence are always welcome at Theta Chi.

ARE YOU THETA CHI MATERIAL?

A Theta Chi is not only one who has already achieved excellence, but one who constantly strives for excellence.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The cost of pledging has yet to be determined for next semester. Living in the house is comparable to the cost of living on campus—when dues & rent are taken into account. There are also many scholarships available for outstanding students, and, with Theta Chi, the benefits far outweigh the costs.

WHAT IS ALCOHOL FREE HOUSING?

At our 142nd Annual Convention, the brothers of Theta Chi became the first undergraduate brotherhood to vote to have an alcohol-free living environment by 2003. This move shows our communities & our campuses that the future of our Fraternity is more important than having alcohol in our houses.

WHAT DOES PLEDGING INVOLVE?

Pledging involves an intensive, eight-week course in which you will not be asked to memorize any history lessons, or every brother's hometown, but in which you will be taught the fundamentals of our brotherhood from our founders, to our creed and our motto “ The Helping Hand”.

WHAT ABOUT HAZING?

We have long prided ourselves in being a hazing-free organization. It could be said that we think hard work & dedication are more important than drinking or partying, or one could look at the ideals portrayed by our founders & see that honor & integrity leave no room for hazing.

HOW DO I BECOME A THETA CHI?

Membership into Delta Rho Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity is open to any male NCSU student in good academic and disciplinary standing. Students of any year (even freshmen) may pursue membership.
